Wi-Tek WI-POE61-24
The Wi-Tek WI-POE61-24V is an intelligent Gigabit PoE converter designed to bridge the gap between standard 48V PoE systems and 24V passive PoE devices. It is widely used in wireless networking and CCTV to power devices like Ubiquiti or Mikrotik access points and wireless bridges directly from a standard PoE switch.
Core Functionality
The device takes a standard 802.3af/at (48V–52V) power input and converts it into a 24V Passive PoE output. This allows you to integrate 24V equipment into a modern 48V network infrastructure without needing separate proprietary power injectors or extra AC outlets.
Technical Specifications
-
Interfaces: * 1 × 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 PoE Input (48V–55V)
-
1 × 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 PoE Output (24V Passive)
-
-
Power Output: Up to 24W (Max).
-
PoE Pin Assignment: 4/5 (+), 7/8 (-).
-
Dual Power Input: Can be powered via the PoE Input port or a dedicated DC 36V–60V terminal.
-
Data Speed: Full Gigabit (1000Mbps) pass-through on both ports.
Key Features
-
Plug & Play: Zero configuration required; it automatically manages the power conversion.
-
Industrial Protection: Built-in short circuit protection and surge immunity (6kV common mode).
-
Compact Design: Small metal housing ( mm) suitable for wall or desktop mounting.
-
Fanless Cooling: Operates silently, making it ideal for indoor office environments or quiet enclosures.
Common Use Case
If you have a standard PoE+ switch (like a Cisco, TP-Link, or UniFi 48V model) and you need to power a 24V Wireless Bridge (like a Ubiquiti NanoStation or Wi-Tek CPE) located 50 meters away, you place this converter at the end of the cable run to safely step down the voltage.
