Just add a centre and two front speakers for the complete pack…simply connect up your HD TV and Blu-ray to the HTX22HD and that's it – you'll have instant digital HD sound quality! Better still, if you want to go the full 5.1 route, simply add the additional SKS-22X pack with centre and rear speakers or your own and thats it!
With built-in Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoders, this Onkyo home cinema system is ready to handle the highest grade of digital audio – straight from HDMI 1.4. The three HDMI inputs and monitor output (to your TV) are all v1.4 meaning that they not only handle digital high resolution audio but are also fully compatible with 3D TV.
Once this digital sound quality has been received, bit for bit, the second part of the HTX22HDX comes into play. Used as is, the Onkyo uses advanced technology to playback a digital 5.1 signal in 2.1 mode.
That's to say that you only need the left, right and subwoofer speakers to produce an effective and spacious surround sound effect. Of course, there's no substitute for the real thing, which is why Onkyo also offer the SKS22X upgrade pack which adds the missing centre and rear speakers.
