DEFIT – WHAT IS IT?
Typically refers to the process of dismantling or removing existing fixtures, fittings, or systems from a space. In the context of IT and electrical systems, a defit would involve the removal of IT infrastructure (such as servers, networking equipment, etc.) and electrical systems (such as wiring, sockets, lighting fixtures, etc.) from a building or a space.
This process might be necessary when renovating a building, moving to a new location, or decommissioning equipment. It’s crucial to ensure that the defit process is done safely and efficiently to avoid any damage to the property or the systems being removed. Additionally, proper disposal or recycling of the removed equipment and materials should be considered to minimize environmental impact.
